JJ McKinney

JJ has made a vocation of helping business owners and executives meet their fiduciary obligations since 1998. Holding a BA in English and Spanish from St. Edward’s University, he worked as a middle school Spanish teacher before joining the retirement plan industry.

JJ’s professional background includes operations development and implementation, government compliance and consulting, new client acquisition, quality assurance, and issue resolution. He has taught classes on various retirement plan-related topics and business management best practices. He has written articles for the ASPPA ASAP, Plan Consultant magazine, and the Journal of Pension Benefits.

In his current role as Director of Sales for EGPS, he joins leadership to support our dynamic sales team by cultivating strategic partnerships with financial advisors and recordkeepers to bring delightful retirement savings outcomes to clients throughout the country. His wealth of industry experience and knowledge, paired with his passion for delivering superior customer experiences, make him a great fit for this position.

JJ and his wife, Jennifer, have been married since 1998 and reside in Georgia. Nine children and a plethora of animals keep them playfully frolicking through life. JJ loves the outdoors, especially running, and has achieved his purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is an ordained deacon the Diocese of Savannah and enjoys dancing, singing, and strumming the guitar.
